About September Stone

Like many others I am self taught. My first artistic ability was poetry. I was published poet by the age of 16. Around the same as my first poem was published I was just learning dark room techniques. That is where my love for black and white photography came from. I started dabbling with photo painting only highlighting selected areas of the photograph with color. 20 years later the love for black and white photography is still there. That is why Black and white digital photography with selective coloring is my favorite of all.
For reasons there was no art of any kind in my life until mid 2002. My attempt to please my children is what prompt me to pick up a pencil and try to draw. Oddly enough it grew from there and became an addiction that lead me to many other mediums. The more I tried and was actually good at, lead me to try anything and everything that I found interest in.
At a snails pace I have entered the land of Photography, Editing, Freehand Digital Painting and Website design. It is very difficult entering this great world of art on the internet. Trying to keep up with the art veterans is impossible for me. Me disappearing for a week, two weeks, even three is not unheard of and will happen. It is not that I have abandoned any one site. It is just "me".
